Our unique GPS-based system micro-sprays plant protection substances precisely where needed, covering only around 6% of the field. The remaining 94% of the field is taken care of mechanically by the robot's weeding wires, knives, and discs.

Micro-Spot and Band Spraying Options
+Spray can be used both for micro-spot spraying to sizes down to 7x7 cm and band spraying. Its capacity ensures approximately 24 hours daily runtime when spot spraying and 12 hours when band spraying.
Auto Cleaning for Ease of Use
The system automatically flushes the nozzles with clean water at standstill mode and when you are finished spraying.

What types of spraying can the FarmDroid robot perform?
FarmDroid can perform both band spraying and spot spraying depending on the unique needs of different crops and field conditions.
What types of plant protection substances can be used with the FarmDroid +Spray System?

Does the FarmDroid +Spray system only work with liquid plant protection substances?
Yes, the FarmDroid +Spray system is designed for liquid applications. It features two tanks: one for the liquid plant protection substance and one for clean water. The product is mixed just before spraying to ensure precise application.
Does the FarmDroid FD20 come with the +Spray system, or do I need to order it separately?
The FarmDroid FD20 is configured according to the specific requirements of each farm. Similar to front wheel and row configurations, the decision to include the +Spray system depends on the farm’s needs. While most ecological farmers do not use the +Spray system, conventional farmers highly value its ability to reduce plant protection substances and save up to 94% in costs.
Can the +Spray System be integrated into existing FarmDroid robots, or is it only available on new models?

How does the +Spray System differentiate between crops and weeds if it doesn't use camera?
Using GPS coordinates, FarmDroid knows the exact location of each seed during seeding. Since it knows where the crops are, it can perform mechanical weeding around them without needing a camera to detect weeds. This unique approach allows the robot to start weeding even before the weeds emerge, preventing them from competing with the crops right from the beginning.
What is the average coverage area per tank refill for the micro-sprayer?
The robot can micro-spray approximately 5 hectares per refill when spot-spraying and 2.5 hectares when band-spraying.
How do I set up or adjust the spraying parameters for different crop types?
To set up the spraying parameters for different crop types, you need to consider factors such as the seeding layout, nozzle hight, system pressure and water amount (which determines the amount of product dispensed), and the frequency of nozzle pulsations (how often they open and close). Working with your distributor or with our guidance, you can determine the optimal settings tailored to your specific crops.
